About the Show

Every episode features a guest star playing a flawed person who dies suddenly. Waiting for him on the other side are two celestial figures: A guide, Mr. Smith, and Judge Othniel (Al Waxman). The person is given the chance to return to earth to a time when he went astray. By changing history, he can alter the future and the course of other lives affected by him.

Episode # 037 Final Flight

Captain Luke Sellars, his second wife, Connie, and his 18-year-old son, Ricky, are passengers on a flight to Paris when Luke dies on board. At his life review, he acknowledges that ten years before, as pilot of the plane on a trans-atlantic flight, he had allowed a dog to die that had mistakenly been loaded into the wrong cargo hold. The dogs death, and especially Luke's decision to not turn back and land the plane, sealed the end of his marriage to Phoebe and also caused Ricky to lose faith in him.

Pete Hogan, mid-fifties, seems to have it made; the head of a huge development corporation, married to a beautiful woman, two attractive children. But his success is a hollow shell. He married his wife because her father could ease his way to the top. He threw away a promising career as an architect for the millions building minimalls would bring him. He left behind a woman who loved him, and who he loved dearly. And now he is bitter, frustrated and guilt-ridden. He meets his end when he has a full cardiac arrest while running.

Dr. Steven Weaver is a controlling and obsessive psychiatrist who verbally attacks his patient, Buzzy Walsh. When Buzzy strikes back, Steven dies in a freak accident. Steven is granted a second chance to return to his teen years in order to relive a humiliating experience on an ice rink. That was the day he had lost the girl he had a crush on, the beautiful Misty Reynolds, to his rival, the young Buzzy.

Episode # 039 Moonshine Over Harlem

In 1932 Harlem, during the great Depression, Charlie Freeman fell in love with a beautiful girl named Rose. Charlie ran a swinging Prohibition speakeasy and love playing his trumpet until the wee hours of the morning. Rose adored jazz and dancing and harboured dreams of moving to Paris with Charlie. It would have been the perfect match - except Charlie was black and Rose was white.

Episode # 040 Daddys Girl

Bobby Kremsky is a slick card shark, compulsive gambler and remorseless cheat. He dies during a high-stakes poker game. At his life review, Bobby tells Judge Othniel that her regrets not having laid down roots. He had fathered a child with his finacee and abandoned them both. Othniel gives him a second chance to lay down roots by winning back his daughter, 10-year old Renetta, who is now an orphan.
