FRANCESCA PRICE: WA$TED!'s Eco Expert

Francesca PriceFrancesca Price has been a journalist and TV presenter in the UK for the last 12 years. As a reporter, she worked across many of the BBC's flagship shows including Watchdog, Food and Drink and Holiday. As a consumer reporter on Watchdog she was often asked to put new products to the test. This included assessing everything from fake tans to computers to foreign import cars.

With the launch of BBC3 she fronted a younger, hipper style of Watchdog. As well as reporting on consumer affairs, she had the opportunity to travel extensively as a presenter for several Holiday programmes. More recently she has written for The Guardian, The Times and several British magazines.

Before she left for the UK, Francesca worked as a scriptwriter for Shortland Street.

In mid-2005, Francesca returned home to New Zealand with her partner and two young children. She says she wanted her children to have the same opportunities as she had and to enjoy a simpler, greener way of life.

Francesca and her family have settled in the West Auckland suburb of Titirangi and are striving to embrace a greener lifestyle.

In addition to her work on WA$TED!, Francesca also currently works as a freelance writer in New Zealand and the UK.
